Tell Me All of You (Poem #42)

I want to know the silly things you did when you were eight
or the stories you’ll never forget when you were sent to bed

tell me about your parents
tell me fragments of yourself
I truly wanna know

I want to know what makes your eyes light up
your brows meet
your fist clench
or your knees week

I want to know what makes you tremble
what makes you strong
I want to know every word of your favorite song
I want to know everything you did wrong

Please, tell me more
it’s not like I’d love you less
if I didn’t know
it’s just that I want to make sure
that incase you break yourself
I’d just be around to put all the pieces back together

There was one night when the rain poured so hard, and i didn't want it to stop. Weird, because i was afraid and amused by the sound of the rain and thunder. The sound of it made me less alone that night. The next day i woke up to find my collection of journals soaked. I keep it near the window to make sure no one could read it. The writings can still be read but i was devastated by the damage. I wanted it preserved but i don't want it published. Still amused by the rain but afraid of the wrath it could bring to my journals, i created this blog.
